Hong Kong Convention & EU-SRR

The Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009 (HKC) was adopted in May 2009.

The HKC in its Article 3 and the EU-SRR (European union Ship recycling Regulation in its Article 12), require that all new ships and existing ships of 500GT and above, holds a proper certification for Inventory of Hazardous Material (IHM).

PMDS Recognitions

PMDS have been authorized to proceed with the survey and certification under the HKC & EU-SRR for the issuance of Statement of Compliance IHM.

Training on the IHM requirements

PMDS Technical personnel have developed the IHM Training course (two Modules), which covers the requirements of the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships (2009) and the EU-SRR.
