CIC on STWC – Instructions from IMMARBE

Member Authorities for the Tokyo, Paris, Black Sea, and Indian MoU´s on PSC will launch a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on STCW from 1st September 2022 to 30th November 2022.

 

With aim to avoid detentions during the CIC, IMMARBE requires all addressed parties to ensure that ship´s procedures and measures in place are in conformity with the relevant provisions of Convention and Code STCW 1978, as amended.

 

IMMARBE is implementing the following actions from owners/ISM Operators/Flag Inspectors/RO´s starting on 1st August 2022 and during the CIC for Belize vessels trading in Tokyo and Paris MoU´s:

 

  • ISM Operators: contact the Master to complete the questionnaire to be used by PSCO´s.  The complete questionnaire shall be submitted to the Administration no later than 31st August 2022.
  • General Safety Inspectors:  The CIC questionnaire will be carried out in conjunction with the Master during the Annual Flag Inspection from 1 August 2022.
  • Recognized Organizations: The CIC questionnaire will be carried out in conjunction with the applicable statutory surveys on all Belize vessels from 1st August 2022.  The CIC questionnaire shall be submitted to the Administration.
