About Us

MARINE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION CENTRE INC. (MTCC) provides training, evaluation and certification services for seafarers, according to the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended, with more than 35 training programs, since its foundation in 2005.

MTCC is member of the Panama Maritime Group, offering integrated services to the maritime community, including ship´s certification, legal services, consultancies and training for seafarers.

MTCC has modern facilities and equipment’s in compliance with the training programs requirements, including the latest generation of Deck & Machinery Wartsila simulators, led by a team of qualified academic staff and specialized instructors.

In an effort to adapt to new regulation and attend the market, MTCC is working in cooperation with Maritime Training Centers in different continents having obtained the recognition for Branches that comply with all the requirements from the Administration.

MTCC have developed and implemented a Quality Management System, which have been certified under the ISO 9001: 2015 Standard requirements

Our Purpose

    MTCC provide highly quality training, evaluation and certification services as per STCW 1978, as amended requirements of competence. The main objective is to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the competencies required by the STCW 1978, as amended, national and international regulations, as well as any other training services required by the maritime sector.

    MTCC will be a benchmark for training, evaluation and certification of seafarers with international recognition and committed to the pursuit of excellence by satisfying its customers with a quality and efficient services.

    Provide to our customers a standard of training, evaluation and certification services, in compliance with the requirements of the STCW 1978 as amended, national, international regulations and other needs from the maritime industry, through highly qualified specialists and trained supporting staff in the Head Office and branches, supported by quality management system that ensure the continuous improvement of its processes.

    MARINE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION CENTRE, INC. (MTCC) have been authorized by the:

     

    • Panama Maritime Authority since 2006, as per updated Resolution ADM No. 105-2021, to offer training programs based on the requirements of the Convention and Code STCW 1978, as amended, and National Regulations.
    • Panama Maritime Authority as Broker of services of technical documentation for seafarers.
    • Liberian Registry since 2022 as training center, examination center (assessment of competence) and filing agent for Liberia Flag.
