Hotel Basic Safety Training

The Panama Maritime Authority issued the Circular No. DGGM-040-V01 related to the Guidelines for the development of the course of Hotel Basic Safety Training (Personnel that does not maintain responsibilities in safety and maritime security of the ship). “Training non-established in the 1978 STCW Convention, as amended”.

Approved guidelines were included in the Resolution ADM No. 038-2024, with a minimum time duration of 42 hours.

The circular also mentions the requirements to request the authorization of the training course by the Head Office and Branches.
